You will have 7 days from your signing date if you currently live in the home or 7 days from your effective date if you are closing on a new home, to complete a self-inspection.

If you do not complete your self-inspection within the 7 day timeframe a licensed inspector from National Insurance Inspection Services (NIIS) will contact you via phone to arrange a time to complete an in-person field inspection.

Once scheduled, the inspector will come out to your home and take photos of the interior and exterior, or just the exterior depending on the age of your home.

Once you have completed the inspection there is a small wait time for National Insurance Inspection Services (NIIS) to review the inspection before they share it with Kin. It is possible that we will not receive a copy of your inspection until the following business day.
