Do I need an inspection?
February 1 2024 9:08pmRegardless of your policy type, Kin’s system requires no pre-bind inspections. Instead, our system will show when there is a requirement for an Exterior and/or Interior inspection post-bind.
Your Sales representative should let you know before you sign your application if you need an inspection.
Whether you need an inspection or not depends on many factors. Some of these factors include but are not limited to:
Exterior age of the home (when it was built)
Interior age of the home (has it been remodeled)
Was there a lapse in coverage
Amount of Coverage A
All inspections required by Kin will be self-inspections. If an inspection is required you will receive a text and email from eSurvey after the effective date. The text and email will contain a link to the inspection portal. The email will also include a button that will let you opt into an in-person inspection if you would prefer.
